ADHD Therapy for Women & Neurodivergent Adults in Central Texas

Learn how your mind works to find clarity, peace, and space.

You have dreams, ideas, and a whole life that you want to start living. But things keep getting in your way.

You have big ideas and deep ambitions, but it feels like you’re always fighting upstream.

On the outside, you look capable. Inside, you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated. You jump from one idea to the next, hoping something will finally stick. You’re smart, creative, and driven—yet constantly second-guessing yourself, overthinking conversations, and wondering why everything feels so hard.

Signs of ADHD & AuDHD in Women

You might be juggling work, family, health issues, or just the desire to do something meaningful, but no matter how hard you try, it never feels like enough. Your brain runs fast. Your energy runs out. You freeze, scroll, or crash—and then the shame creeps in.

You might wonder if it’s ADHD, autism, burnout, or just you. But here’s the truth: you’re not broken. You’re not lazy. And you’re not alone.

Overwhelm, Executive Functioning, & Daily Life Challenges

I work with women like you—thoughtful, capable, and tired of trying to fit into neurotypical expectations. Whether you have a diagnosis or are still figuring things out, therapy with me is a space to slow down, get curious, and start building a life that fits you.

We’ll look at what’s working and what’s not—whether it’s executive functioning, burnout, masking, or boundaries. And we’ll explore the bigger stuff too: things like friendship struggles, family dynamics, parenting, grief, self-worth, or feeling stuck in your career. Even when it’s not about neurodivergence, how you process, relate, and make sense of things still matters.

No judgment—just insight, compassion, and space for all of you.

You’re not too much.

You’re not too late.

In-Person ADHD Therapy in Buda & Virtual Across Texas

Hi, I’m Janet

I get what it’s like to move through the world with a brain that works differently—because I’m neurodivergent too. You might be here because of ADHD, autism, or something else entirely. Or maybe you’re here for other reasons, but the neurodivergence is always part of the picture.

Either way, you don’t have to explain or mask with me. I know how exhausting it can be to navigate daily life, relationships, and big emotions. I know what it’s like to have to think about your energy levels before making decisions. And I also know how hard it can be to connect with others who process the world differently.

In therapy, we make space for all of it, your strengths, your struggles, and the parts of you that maybe no one’s ever really understood. We’ll work together to figure out what actually works for your brain and your life, so don’t feel as though you are simply trying to survive, but instead start feeling hopeful, confident, and capable of creating a life you want to live.

What We Work On in ADHD & Neurodivergent Therapy

Our work together will involve learning how to…

Love yourself despite the challenges

It’s easy to get down on yourself or your circumstances when you mess up or aren’t able to do the things that are important to you. We’ll gently explore shifting our compassion so that you can give yourself the support and love you need, even when you feel like you don’t deserve it.

Be genuinely okay with your limitations

Living with ADHD and chronic illnesses comes with some limitations. But that’s actually okay. (If you aren’t sure why, let’s talk.) We’ll work on how you can take care of your needs and communicate that to others in a positive, non-reactive way.

Be productive

Making decisions when you feel completely overwhelmed or feel as though you don’t have much energy to spend can leave you even more exhausted. We can work on developing strategies so you can make the most of your physical and mental energy.

Live the life you want

It’s easy to feel as though you can’t do the things that are important to you. We will work to align your values and goals with your realities so that you feel good about how you live your life and the goals you are working towards. Feel good about taking care of yourself.

If you’ve tried therapy before but felt misunderstood…

If you’ve been to therapy before and walked away feeling misunderstood, or like you had to keep parts of yourself or your life hidden, you’re not alone. It can be hard to find someone you click with.

And maybe you’ve been told by others (people close to you, even) that you’re too sensitive, too much, too emotional.

Or maybe you were told to toughen up. You may have tried telling others how you felt just to be shut down, ignored, or made to think that you’re really the problem.

You may even feel like you’re just making a big deal of nothing.

So, yes, it totally makes sense that asking for help feels hard.

Here’s the truth: You were adapting, surviving. Making it work in a world that didn’t quite match up with your expectations or ways of doing things.

And that is hard and lonely, and can make you question yourself about everything, even therapy.

But the really great thing about therapy with me is that you actually do get to bring all of you–the embarrassing parts, the strong parts, the scared parts, the parts that you are ashamed of–all of them, so they can be met with compassion, not criticism.

Your story is not too much for me.

The things you’ve had to do to survive, that’s okay, too.

I’m here for all of it.

It’ll Be a Little Like this…

We move at your pace because you call the shots.

We make meaning of what has felt twisted, invisible, or even vague and hard to put into words.

We’ll laugh, and there will probably also be tears.

But you’ll have someone with you, which is where the magic happens.

And it will take time, but session-by-session, you’ll build something new from the inside out.

The Therapy Relationship and Why It Heals

Research has shown that the therapeutic relationship you have with your therapist is the most important factor in making therapy effective. My clients stick around for the long haul; we work together so healing can happen.
