How I Work

Quick Read

I provide neurodiversity-affirming, nervous-system-informed therapy for women, teens, and children (ages 3+) in Buda and Wimberley, Texas, with telehealth across Texas for adults and older teens (typically 16+). I help with ADHD/AuDHD, high-masking, sensory overload, shutdown/freeze, executive functioning stress, and cyclical burnout patterns. Therapy with me is warm, engaged, and practical—focused on small shifts that compound over time, helping you feel steadier and more capable in daily life.

I work with neurodivergent children, teens, and women who feel stuck in their heads—overthinking, struggling with consistency, and having a hard time finding a rhythm that lasts. Many know what they should do… but their brain and body won’t let it stick, moving through the same pattern again and again: try hard, burn out, reset, repeat. In our work, we slow things down and focus on pacing, boundaries, and what’s happening in the body beneath the thoughts, so life can start to feel more steady and manageable.

Therapy with me is warm, engaged, and supportive. We make sense of patterns together and focus on small, practical shifts that respect your limits and help life feel less pressured and more manageable. I also support real-life executive functioning challenges like school stress, follow-through, organization, and transitions.

Clients often come to me for help with overwhelm, anxiety, burnout cycles, emotional regulation, and executive functioning struggles. Many of my clients are bright, creative, and capable, yet exhausted from trying to function in systems that don’t fit how their brains and bodies work. My goal is to help you feel more regulated, more confident, and more able to navigate life without constantly pushing past your capacity.

Nervous System-Informed (Polyvagal-Informed)

A big part of my work focuses on the nervous system—how stress shows up in the body, why certain patterns repeat, and how we build steadiness from the inside out. My approach is polyvagal-informed, but always practical and tailored to real life.

This means we don’t just ask, “What are you thinking?”
We also pay attention to what your body is doing underneath it—because that’s often where the pattern is living.

My Therapy Approach

My work is relational, compassionate, and active—you don’t have to perform or “get it right.” We focus on understanding patterns instead of blaming you for them.

I provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy and support clients who experience things like:

  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges (starting, organizing, finishing)

  • high-masking and chronic self-doubt

  • sensory overload and emotional overwhelm

  • shutdown/freeze responses and avoidance

  • cyclical “burnout” patterns (try hard → crash → reset → repeat)

Modalities I draw from

My work is integrative, and I pull from ACT-informed, CBT-informed, and attachment-informed therapy, along with polyvagal-informed nervous system support, depending on what fits you. With children, I use a play-based, child-led approach that is developmentally appropriate and supports emotional regulation through relationship and safe connection.

I’m flexible in how we work together. Depending on what helps most, sessions can be:

  • more reflective and depth-oriented, or

  • more practical and directive (with tools, structure, and worksheets)

Either way, the goal is the same: steady progress that holds up outside the therapy room.

Who I Work With

Women

I’m often a good fit for women who relate to:

  • ADHD or late-diagnosed ADHD (and sometimes AuDHD)

  • high sensitivity and nervous-system reactivity

  • overthinking, burnout cycles, and decision paralysis

  • executive functioning struggles (starting, organizing, finishing)

  • difficulty identifying feelings or trusting themselves

  • chronic people-pleasing and boundary collapse

Teens

I work with teens who are dealing with:

  • anxiety, emotional intensity, or overwhelm

  • school stress, procrastination, or shutdown

  • ADHD traits, sensory sensitivity, or AuDHD

  • difficulty naming emotions or speaking up

  • friendship stress, people-pleasing, and boundary struggles

Children (Ages 3+)

I support children with:

  • big feelings, meltdowns, or regulation challenges

  • grief or early emotional stress

  • family stress or attachment disruptions

  • ADHD, autism, or learning differences (sometimes, but not always the main reason)

With children, sessions are play-based and child-led, supporting regulation and emotional expression through relationship and safety.

Real-Life Changes We Work Toward

Therapy isn’t about becoming a different person—it’s about becoming more steady inside your actual life.

Common changes we work toward include:

  • less overwhelm, shutdown, and nervous-system “crashing”

  • more follow-through without burnout

  • steadier routines and rhythms that actually last

  • clearer boundaries and less people-pleasing

  • more support around school stress, transitions, and follow-through (directly for teens, often through parents for younger kids)

  • fewer power struggles at home and more confidence as a parent

Parent Support (Kids + Teens)

With younger kids, parent sessions are often part of the process because parents shape the environment, make the day-to-day decisions, and help carry therapy into real life at home and school. With teens, therapy often works best when they have their own space and confidentiality, with parent involvement added only when it’s truly helpful and appropriate.

Not the Best Fit (So You Don’t Waste Time)

To protect good outcomes and keep care aligned, I may not be the best fit if you’re seeking:

  • clinical eating disorder treatment

  • family therapy

  • high-conflict custody cases or court-involved co-parenting disputes

  • parents of young children who do not want parent coaching included

  • emergency or crisis-level support (including active suicidal crisis care)

  • a quick-fix approach focused only on behavior changes, without time for deeper patterns and nervous system support

If you’re not sure, you’re welcome to reach out and I’ll help you figure out the best next step.
