Hi, I’m Janet—and whether you’re here for yourself or your child, I believe we do hard things better when we do them together.

When you’ve tried all the things and nothing’s changing, it’s maddening.

Whether it’s your nervous system that won’t shut off, your kiddo’s big feelings taking over the house, or you’re just spinning in circles trying to hold it all together… I know you want (and need) a few wins.

That’s where therapy comes in. Therapy gives you the breathing room to slow down, reconnect, and start shifting things in a real, meaningful way.

I work with both children and adults, often those navigating neurodivergence, significant life transitions, grief, or relationship patterns that feel just… exhausting.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher—and now as a parent to two teens and a fellow ADHDer, I bring both professional tools and lived-in, real-life experience to the therapy room.

With kids, I use creative, evidence-based approaches like play, expressive arts, sandtray, and storytelling to help them feel safe, seen, and supported. Often, kids don’t have words for what’s going on—they show us through behavior. My job is to meet them there with patience, structure, and care. I also partner closely with caregivers so you’re never left wondering, “What now?”

With adults, my approach is relational and attachment-based (read: deeply human). I create a space where you can come as you are—no masks, no perfection required. We’ll collaborate on what “unstuck” looks like for you, using reflection, validation, gentle challenges, and laughter.

I believe therapy is the place where you find your way again. And we can get creative in what that looks like for you. Sometimes that means colored pencils. Sometimes it means working in the sandtray. Maybe it’s venting with purpose. It always requires paying a little more attention to our bodies.

And we’re always going to reflect on what’s working and what isn’t so that you can make progress.

So if you’re looking for a therapist who blends creativity, honesty, and a healthy dose of humanity—I’d be honored to walk with you or your child on this journey.

Joyluma Services for Community Collective Members

Intakes– 75 min.

$130

An intake session is our first step together. We’ll review your paperwork, talk through what’s been going on, and get a fuller picture of your life—your routines, supports, and stressors. You’ll share your hopes for therapy, and we’ll start shaping a plan that feels right for you.

For children and teens, this session is with the parents. The session may be conducted in two parts, depending on the number of other providers or schools we need to collect information from to get a good picture of the situation.

45 min. Child/Teen Session

$90

Child and teen sessions are 45 minutes, which allows time for the work we need to do together and for me to reset and prepare the space for the next kiddo.

45 min. Adult Sessions &

Parent Consultations

$75

Adult sessions and parent consultations are 50 minutes, allowing us plenty of time to dive in and make progress each week.

These sessions are conducted in person or via Zoom; you choose!

Frequently asked questions

  • As long as you are associated with one of the Community Collective groups, you will be eligible for this rate until the May of 2026 and possibly beyond.

  • Contact me via text or simply make an appointment through my scheduler on this page. If we are a good match and I have an opening, I am usually able to start seeing clients or schedule the parent consultation very soon after we speak.

  • Sessions are typically conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Because afternoon hours are limited, many sessions are conducted during school hours. I do provide a note for your child to take to school. Additionally, many younger children are fresher during the morning hours.

Your school may also provide a location for therapy on campus.

  • Adults and older teens can choose virtual or in-person sessions. Child and preteen sessions are conducted in person in Buda or on school campuses.
